How I explain my experience with Reiki Energy to Christians
Many people of Christian faith have had questions about Reiki Energy Healing. I hope my description below about my experience will help deepen your understanding.
“After my first Reiki Class and Attunement, my hands felt as though they were on fire. This was quite unusual as my hands were always cold. I was so excited as I felt the energy flowing from them. A miracle had just happened and a gift had just been bestowed upon me. I felt so connected to “Spirit”. I felt joy, a renewed sense of hope and a call to service. As I worked with the Reiki Energy, I witnessed many beneficial and sometimes miraculous results.
I was very humbled by the experiences. Only through my connection to the Creator, could I be the conduit for the Divine Loving Life Force Energy to flow through into another being. Wow. My connection with God was, and is, stronger than ever before. There was no doubt in my mind that God does exist. God worked through Jesus to do healings, and Jesus said in John 14:12 “”I am telling you the truth: whoever believes in me will do what I do-yes, he will do even greater things because I am going to the Father”
I was so excited about my increased connection with “Spirit”. With this came also came great sense of responsibility. Oddly enough, there was no question in my mind that I was being called to go out and help heal the World, and especially to teach others about this wonderful gift from God. I felt that the sign I had been given some 30 years prior, where Jesus appeared to me and a friend, was now having some clarity. My life was guided to move in a completely new direction—one of service to others.
God and the Holy Spirit worked through Jesus to do healings We can all receive the “Gifts of the Spirit” as described in Corinthians 12:4-12 which talks about the gift of healing here: “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. 7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another faith [a]by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of [b]healing [c]by the one Spirit, 10 and to another the [d]effecting of [e]miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the [f]distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
12 For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.”
In the the New Testament, John 14:12, Jesus says “Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who believes in me the works I do shall he do also, and greater than these shall he do, because I go to the Father”. Isn’t healing what Jesus teaches us about in the Bible? Of course it is. Why was this important message lost? Was it brought back to us again by Amazing Grace because we didn’t get it the first time? And to those of you that turn up your noses at the word “Reiki” because it’s Japanese, shame on you. Please let go of all judgements here and keep your mind and heart open.
I will share my heartfelt views and truly humbling experiences over the past 20 years as I teach you to help yourselves and others on the path to healing and spiritual growth. May you find the light and heal your life.”
